Tree time

Well this weekend has been......relaxing. For the first time in a while we managed to have a lye in!!! Although I love boarding, the only negative (apart from the getting dragged by your nutsack on the lift thing) aspect is getting up even earlier than you would on a weekday. It's really a small price to pay for the reward though, no pain, no gain (and all that).

After having a squash sesh on Thursday, the two day pain syndrome took over on Saturday. What did I do to combat this you ask? Of course I pushed the envelope and went for a 2.15hr walk with my lovely lady : )

Did it work? Erm, in a word, no. It just meant that when I sat down (was fine) it made the getting up part quite painful indeed.

Squash is a weird thing. It is the only sport that makes your glutes hurt, in other words, your ass aches like hell and it feels like you've been sodomized all night. Not sure where I'm going with this....

As the post title indicates, the theme of this weekend was definitely trees (for two reasons): we bought a bonsai tree (for one) and I've started drawing/painting a silhouette tree on our hallway wall (for two). All I'm going to say is here's a more than sneak preview below. It's quite fun to draw all over your walls : ) and thus I highly recommend it!

Here's the newest addition to the Thorpe/Andersson household. We'll see how long it takes for us to kill this one off (Harsh may be considering we havent killed off any plants/trees/green things before). In memory of the soon to be not so alive and kicking Bonzo (J's Mum's wired haired dachshund who must be like 95 in human years), we've named our little Ficus after the short, sausage, smelly little bugger. Say hi and give a warm welcome to Bonzo:
